Double degree in Journalism (Magister) and Business Administration (Diplom) at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Award for the Master's thesis by the Institute for Journalism. Award of the diploma thesis by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Mainz and the Continental Teves Foundation for outstanding scientific work. During her studies she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of General Business Administration and Organisation. Internships at Deutsche Fachverlag GmbH, Hanauer Anzeiger GmbH & Co KG and Deutsche Bank AG.

Academic qualification phase at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz: 2007 to 2010 research assistant at the Chair of General Business Administration and Organisation. 2010 doctorate (summa cum laude). Award from the “Interessengemeinschaft Frankfurter Kreditinstitute e.V.”, Gutenberg Scholarship from the City of Mainz and prize from the Rheinhessen Chamber of Industry and Commerce. 2010 to 2014 academic councillor at the Chair of Media Management. 2014 Habilitation.

Study, research and teaching stays at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (USA); Universitat de València (Spain); Università degli studi di Roma 'La Sapienza' (Italy); Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (PR China) and Warsaw School of Economics (Poland).

Since November 2014, she holds the professorship for General Business Administration (W3) at the University of Bayreuth.
